Ontario COVID-19 update: province to allow 10-person "social circles" – June 12, 2020

In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott provide an update on their government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, including new public-health advice allowing Ontarians to form “social circles” of up to ten people. Social circles consist of fixed groups of individuals from multiple households who may come into close contact with one another. The new advice on social circles is distinct from rules governing social gatherings in which physical distancing is maintained. The premier and minister are joined at the briefing by Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health.
